Niessing Colette

Smooth, casual, classy

More than four decades ago, Niessing began to rethink jewelry: flexible instead of rigid. Inspired by guitar and violin strings, a coil was created that allows movement while preserving its line. This idea inspired the creation of Colette – a jewelry collection that brings together lightness, everyday wear and artisanal precision.

A sense of rhythm

A sense of rhythm

To mark its 40th anniversary, Niessing continues this thought. Not retrospectively and not nostalgically, but consistently from the present. With the Niessing Wave Coil, the line gains a new quality: rhythm becomes visible without sacrificing the clarity of the coil.

A line in motion

Niessing Colette Wave

A line in motion

Inspired by the Bauhaus ballet, repetition, order and movement come together in a controlled wave line. Colette Wave translates this idea into bracelets and earrings that remain part of the Colette family while showing how a familiar line can be reimagined.

Expertise and motion

Expertise and motion

1.5 kilograms of precious metal, three experienced goldsmiths, and a whole day of work add up to 3,000 meters of gold or platinum wire for the Niessing Coil. Does that seem a simple equation? Well, it’s not!
Traditionally handmade

Traditionally handmade

Our goldsmiths master the ancient craft of wire drawing to perfection. Again and again, they pull the wire of gold or platinum through special drawing dies and anneal it many times exactly at the right moment. The wire has to have a perfectly round profile for the perfect fit and form of the Niessing Coil.

A glow from within...

When the wires have been manufactured, they are very precisely wound around a transparent core of nylon. This core intensifies the glow of the coils from within. Each Niessing Coil is finished with a hand-polished clasp, which is easy to use and very secure.
