FAQ
What types of Niessing necklaces are available?
Niessing necklaces range from collier necklaces to minimalist pendants. Various wearing options are available for pendants: Niessing Coil, Coil Wave, chain or textile cord. This allows for a variety of combinations for both everyday wear and special occasions.
What makes the Niessing Coil so special?
The Niessing Schnur was developed in 1986 and reinterpreted the way jewelry pendants are worn. The finest wires of gold or platinum are precisely wound around a transparent nylon core, which intensifies the shine from within. Unlike a chain, the coil falls in a rounded rather than V-shaped line, following the contour of the neck. It remains visually understated and allows the pendant to take center stage.
What is the difference between Niessing Coil, Coil Wave, chain and textile cord?
The classic Niessing Coil forms a clear, fine line of gold or platinum and places the pendant at the center. The Niessing Coil Wave develops this idea further with an even twist, bringing rhythm and movement into the design. The Niessing chain is a fine link chain made of gold or platinum, while the textile cord creates a deliberate contrast to the jewelry pendant with its textile surface.
What is the Niessing Coil Wave?
The Niessing Coil Wave is an innovative enhancement of the classic Niessing Coil and was designed to mark its 40th anniversary. Inspired by Bauhaus ballet, the calm line becomes an even, elegant twist. In this way, the Coil Wave combines Niessing's characteristic reduction with rhythm and movement.
Which chain and coil lengths are available?
The Niessing Coil, Niessing Coil Wave and Niessing chain are available in lengths from 39 to 90 cm. Shorter lengths are also available on request.
Which Schnur thickness is suitable for which pendant?
1.2 mm is a particularly popular coil thickness. 1.0 mm appears more delicate, while 1.5 mm has more presence. The coil thickness should suit the individual pendant: finer pendants are not suitable for thicker coils, while larger pendants should not be combined with a coil that is too delicate.
Which pendants, coil and chains can be combined?
Many Niessing pendants can be combined with different coils or chains and in different lengths. Depending on the combination, the same pendant can appear delicate and understated or expressive and striking. Which combination is possible depends on the individual piece of jewelry.
Which materials and colors are available?
Depending on the collection, we offer Gold 750, Platinum 950 or enamel as well as many Niessing Colors. The specific selection depends on the collection.
How sustainable are Niessing necklaces?
We use gold from secondary sources and obtain precious metals from certified German and Swiss refineries. For our pieces of jewelry, we use exclusively natural, conflict-free diamonds that are subject to the System of Warranties of the Kimberley Process. In addition, we inspect the quality of the diamonds in our own diamond laboratory.
How do I care for my necklaces properly?
For the care of Niessing necklaces, we recommend hot water, a little soap and a soft cloth or a small, soft brush.
What warranty and service apply?
We offer an international warranty of two years from the date of purchase. Jewelry can be inspected, refreshed or completely refurbished.
How do shipping, returns and consultation work?
For individually crafted pieces of jewelry, the delivery time is usually two to three weeks (within Europe). Online purchases generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal; personalized or individually crafted items are excluded.
